Bio

Dear Whoever Reads This,
From a young age I dreamed of kayaking for a living and loving life in the process. What I found was friends and experiences that have changed who I am. I love the water and everything about it including the scenery, rapids and the people you meet along the way. I continue to push myself in competition, event organization, website design, photography, film and writing articles to further expose what kayaking is and the future of where it is going. I have many goals in kayaking and look forward to accomplishing these with the guidance and assistance of Jackson Kayaks and its team members. I am an open-minded, outgoing, fun loving, basketball playing, juggling kind of guy and I strive to be great at anything I try. I am newly married and love my wife more than anything in this world. She is the wind beneath my wings, pushing me in the sport that I love while not letting me get discouraged. Without her I would be nothing. I love you, SHANNON. I look forward to seeing you all on the river soon. I have included some information on the stuff that I involved in and hope you check it out.

Peace Out,
Jeremy Adkins

Team rEvolution (Coming Soon)
Myspace.com/TheTeamrEvolution

Kayaking has taken huge strides in the past 5 years and is growing each day. In 2003, renowned kayakers, Nick Kleminsky and I founded a group of young, dedicated and influential whitewater kayakers from the Southeastern United States who loved to travel and promote this unique sport. While on the road, we not only push the limits of freestyle, creek, and slalom kayaking, we devote our time to being positive ambassadors for the sport. In addition to the multiple hours of video and photography each member has dedicated to create exposure, each has also worked not only for themselves, but also for the good of the team. With a combined average of 10 years experience, our proven hard work, devoted time and earned relationships have helped promote kayaking in a positive way. In our lives the experiences we have had and friends we have made along the way are what life is all about. As a team we provide the sport with many key ingredients to success making us an important marketing resource representing all social, cultural and economic backgrounds. We are Jeremy Adkins, Nick Kleminsky, Charlie Mix, Boyd Ruppelt, Samantha Brunner, Charlie Simmons, Andy Hobson, Stanley Esquivel, Tyler Phillips and Jonathan Shales.

North Alabama Whitewater Festival (NAWFest)
Myspace.com/NAWFest

The North Alabama Whitewater Festival (NAWF) is geographically dispersed into two main areas for the competitions. The First day of competitive activities is located at Short Creek, which is new Guntersville, AL. The rest of the Festival and events are held at King’s Bend with immediate access to the Locust Fork River. King’s Bend is located near the city of Cleveland, AL, which offers many great outdoor adventures. In the past three years, NAWF has not only attracted private (commercial) and public (government) funding, but has earned a great deal of exposure to the sport of kayaking by bringing together some of the world’s best whitewater kayakers for fun, entertainment and competition. The Alabama based team has put their blood, sweat, and tears into turning King’s Bend into on the premiere whitewater parks in the country while offering a convenient campground. As on the largest festival in the United States, NAWF Kicks off freestyle events for the United States Freestyle Committee’s yearly schedule of events.
This great festival was founded in 2005 by professional kayaker Jeremy Adkins, Gavin Rains, Keith yell, Mark Travis, David and Kim Livingston and many other Bama paddlers. (e.g. The Bama Boyz). We at NAWF pride ourselves in not only a family environment, but a full itinerary filled with food, refreshments, games, raffles, camping, music, media coverage, competition and good ole; fashioned southern hospitality.
Since its conception in 2005, with 200 attendees and competitors, to more than 1,300 in 2007 and almost 1,800 in 2008, this once small festival has sky-rocketed to become one of the best in the Southeast. With four separate events, NAWF brings different types of whitewater athletes together for a more challenging competition.
With a larger vision our goal is to start the X-Games of the southeast. So keep coming and showing off your love for all the hard work we put into this damn thing.

Triktionary

Several years ago I decided it was time to share to the world what freestyle kayaking has to offer in the professional sports world. That was the moment I decided to create the Triktionary, the World's First Online Freestyle Trick Dictionary. While working the International Freestyle Committee I hope that the Triktionary can set a standard for all competitions around the world making it easier to judge and spread the word. The moves would be split into five categories: Flatwater Moves, Hole Moves, Wave Moves, Downriver Moves and Combination Moves. Each move will be explained extensively featuring step-by-step instructions, corresponding photos, video clip, notes and special features. The future of freestyle kayaking is growing every day so don't be out of the loop on the latest moves! Check out the Triktionary website and find everything you need to improve your freestyle skills. If you are interested in contributing to the Triktionary or have any ideas, requests or new moves please contact me at Flyinskeleton@cs.com. It only makes the website better and more instructional. Thanks for all your support and keep throwing HUGE!
